ThWIC is following a consistently inter- and transdisciplinary approach. In our 18 core projects, we are trying to use complementary competencies of the actors of our consortium and to open up new fields of research and application. To this end, the cluster’s activities are organized into four fields of innovation: “Analysing Water”, “Cleaning Water”, “Assessing Water”, and “Understanding and Explaining Water”. Furthermore, there are six innovation supporting frameworks. Subprojects of an especially integrating nature are collected in ThWIC Lab. ThWIC Lab is going to develop as a physical location on the University of Jena’s campus.

The four fields of innovation described in the text, as well as a box for the innovation supporting frameworks.
